New Banners, designed by M. E. Whitehill, have been installed along Water Street and Front Street, Newburgh, NY.
They depict the new Ferry to Beacon for Metro North commuters to New York City.
The popular New Ferry service, called "West New York", makes six morning and eight evening trips.
It makes the same 8 minute run as the Old Ferry, which stopped running when the Newburgh Beacon Bridge opened in 1963
On weekends there are pleasure trips as well.
Newburgh River Front a dedication was held of the completed trompe l'oeil mural painted by Garin Baker and his team of artists on the NY Central Railroad Trestle.
Arches to the inner city depicting the historic treasures of Newburgh are filled with realistic people, many of whom are well known citizens.
